Who Am I?

I’ve been an avid user of most Mac and Apple products in small business and home environments for the past 20 years.

I’ve worked for professional services firms in the financial services industry on three continents for almost 50 years. I set up and ran my own business in Asia for 10 years.  As a result I understand the needs of professionals and I know how automation can improve productivity, efficiency and accuracy in a document-centric world. Working remotely or in the office – it’s all the same.

How can AYM add value to your business?

I can’t immediately tell you!! But what I am pretty sure  that once I know more about your business I will be able to add some value. The tools that I recommend and use have multiple uses in different situations. What works for one business may not be relevant to another.

Getting the most out of your Apple technology through automation.

Some tools, for example TextExpander, can be used by any business at a superficial level. However, below the surface they are much more powerful than they appear at first glance. In addition, with quite a few of these tools after the first implementation it’s quite likely that you and your team will be able to add additional functionality with little or no training. Using Hazel to keep your system clear of clutter and for accurate filing is a really useful tool. Incredibly easy to use once you have mastered the basics.

Others such as MIcrosoft’s Visual Basic for Applications (VBA) and Shortcuts are really powerful and come free with Office 365 and the Mac operating system respectively.

AYM extends its reach remotely via FaceTime, Zoom, Screencasts, tutorials, and in person if you’re near our base in the UK.
